The First Highland Park Porch Crawl

Please post this recap!! Good Morning Wow ...I did have the opportunity to visit the majority of the HP Porches on the First Highland Park Crawl...Unfortunately, I ran out of time and many attendee confessed that they found a comfy porch and didn't move to other!!! What a wonderful evening....perfect weather, meeting new neighbors, renewing old friendships on lovely welcoming porches. Awesome food, pot luck treats and refreshments. Joggers, walkers, cyclist, dogs and kids expressing their artistic talents with gigantic chalk sticks on sidewalks and the youngest crawlers were in a stroller..3 weeks old.....All in all, it was a really, really fun evening for Highland Parkers that attended the event. To all the Porch Crawler Host ....A monumental "Thank YOU" for sharing their lovely "Porches" for this event!! To the committee for this event Paul, Amber, Marty thanks for all for your assistance...to Neil (my partner in Sign Posting, Master of Balloons.. with endless patience) and a special "thank you" to Sherry who worked tirelessly to make this event happen... St Rocco's Festival and St Raphael Bazaar today

Today the St Rocco Festival is taking place at St Raphael Church in Morningside, which includes a mass at 4 pm with possibly fireworks after. At the end of the mass, the statue of St Rocco is paraded thru the neighborhood, and the tradition is to set off fireworks during the parade. So do not be surprised to hear fireworks around 5 pm. At the end of the Bazaar, at about 10 or 10:30 pm, fireworks will be lit off from Heth's field. I have nothing to do with this, but just wanted to warn all that these fireworks will be going off. Sheets of Clean Polystyrene

I have many long sheets of a polystyrene packing material that were used to protect paintings in an overseas crate. It's 3 feet wide and some of the sheets are 6 feet long. Very light weight! Hello, I found this cat on the corner of Bryant Ct and N Highland. She is very friendly, but seemed a little too unkept to be someone's outdoor cat. I took her to a local shelter to check for a microchip - she does not have one. If this is your cat, and I unknowingly catnapped her, please call me and I will be happy to come drop her off.
