Garden class recipes & YUMMIES!

Hello, neighbors! I wanted to give early notice that class next week (Wednesday, July 12th, 6:30-8:30 pm) will be a celebration of tastes. After all, the BEST part about gardening is the EATING! Since this class content will all be via recipes, punctuality is not necessary. Feel free to drop in at any time. Anyone who would like to can email me recipes and/or growing tips, or bring 12 copies to share. Recipes should include at least one ingredient that you yourself have grown or have gotten from a CSA or farmers market, even if you haven't ever used your own ingredients before. Examples from my own treasury include: Roasted root vegetables Strawberry ice cream Chili Salsa Caprese salad Ice creams (lavender, rose, berry, mint, savory) Fajitas Stuffed peppers You get the idea. If you are able, please feel free to bring a sample that we can all taste. The space is available to us from 6:00-9:00, so you are welcome to come early to set up. I will provide plates, bowls, silverware, napkins, cups and water for everyone. Remember: even if you don't grow "typical" edibles, such as vegetables, herbs or fruits, recipes can include other things. There are many flowers (day lily, nasturtium, rose & rose hips), perennials (bamboo, fiddle-leaf ferns, maple) or even weeds (dandelion, plantain, crab grass, kudzu), which contain edible parts. Class is $10/person, payable by cash, check or credit. No charge if you are on a limited income or assistance, or would find the cost prohibitive. You do not have to have attended any previous classes, so I hope that a TON of you want to come and experience this delightful medley of yumminess.
