Garden watering 2-25 August

Hello Highland Parkers, Does anyone know of a responsible child/teenager interested in watering plants in my Highland Park backyard from 2-25 August? The plants are accessible from the outdoor gate (no house entry necessary). I'd like to find someone to water every other day (less if there is ample rain). I have a very small yard with some tomato plants, other veggies, and house plants. The job should take 10 minutes at most each time. I'm planning to pay the lucky garden-waterer! Thank you! Shalini

FS: Vintage Riccar sewing machine

Hi, This sewing machine belonged to my mother. I'm not sure, but I think she got it in the 1960s. My fantasy had been that I would learn to sew and get to use it--but it never happened. It's exactly as she left it and I believe it to be in working order, though I haven't tried it myself. I have some threads and accessories (see picture below). I don't think it has significant value, but I'd love to see it go to a good home. I'm asking just $30. You're welcome to come and see it and try it out. I live in Highland Park. Claudette

Free ballet slippers - preschool size, moderately worn

We have a pair of size 10 narrow (little kid) capezio ballet slippers - they were originally pink but are a little grubby looking on the outside from being worn for at least a year of dance classes. If anyone would want them for a toddler/preschooler who might be trying dance or to add to your collection of dress-up/pretend clothing, let me know, and I'll let you know where to pick them up. I don't have the city schedule for trash pickup (not sure why we didn't receive one for 2016), anyhow.....can anyone in the neighborhood tell me when the next large item/bulk pick-up will be? Have some large items we need to get rid of. Thanks! Pamela
