Wigle Whiskey Tour Review

Dear Neighbors, Having read a disparaging review of Wigle Whiskey several months ago, I had very low expectations when six of us went on a tour of Wigle's Strip District Distillery last Saturday. I was so wrong! We have been on several tours of the huge Kentucky Bourbon Trail distilleries, so we knew what to expect from a top-notch tour and, much to our delight, it was all there! This tiny distillery outdoes itself with hospitality, generosity, an informative and interesting tour, and a warm and friendly atmosphere. For only $25, you can enjoy a pre-tour cocktail, an hour-long tour (which flies past as you learn the surprising importance of Western PA in the history of whiskey in America), five tastings (two during the tour so that you are not inundated with too much whiskey at the end of the tour), and fun checking out product and souvenirs in their gift shop. We heard about their Tuesday labeling parties and are looking forward to attending one of those soon; volunteer labelers are compensated with whiskey cocktails during the evening. Now that we know to look for it, we are seeing Wigle Whiskey at Muddy Waters, the Wallace Tap Room, and Pints on Penn. Cheers! How precious is your steadfast love, O God!
