HPCC Halloween Event Was A Success

Thanks to everyone who came out on this beautiful day to show off their costumes at the fountain. Teri Rucker's homemade cookies and icing went over well. We had 34 kids guess how much money and the number of ants in a spaghetti jar filled with stuff from my house. The answer to the questions are $6.33 in coins and 13 ants. The winner of the jar of stuff is Lilah George with a guess of $5.90. She gets to take home a jar with plastic insects, rocks, jewels, glow-in-the-dark ants, spiders, and flies, a few Box Tops for school, a popsicle stick, a ball of string and some googly eyes along with other little stuff from around my house. Lilah can contact me at bob.63(a)netzero.net or 412-441-8972 to claim her winnings. I can either deliver the jar or she can come and pick it up from me. Thanks to the kids who dressed up, the parents who brought their kids out, and Drew, John and Janine for helping everyone with drinks and food. Bob (who is not in charge of the event, but loves helping out, because Teri is the chairperson of the Children's Committee)

One of the days is Thursday between 11:30 and 2:30. I need the helper to drive me to Club One in Shadyside where I swim about 30 to 45 minutes. I also need the helper to help me get dressed after I swim. I have a car that can be used, but the helper must have a drivers license. The other two days are preferably Tuesday and Wednesday, but one of these days could be Friday. One of these days will involve cooking vegetables from recipes. This work will involve chopping and cooking vegetables like zucchini, cauliflower, onions, red peppers, cabbage, and broccoli slaw. The other day will involve help organizing things, moving things (not heavy things), making phone calls suc as doctor appointments. I will occassionally need the helper to drive me to doctor's appointments. The work is 3 to 4 hours each day. I also have two small dogs (less than 15 pounds) that will need to be let out when you come to my house and when you leave. I have multiple sclerosis and have difficulty walking, which is why I need help Although I'm not good at long distances, I use a walker and can get most hard of hearing, but I have a hearing aid, so I can hear. I am fairly small at 4'9" and I weigh 90 pounds. To summarize, I need a helper three days a week for 9 to 12 hours each week. I am willing to pay the helper $15/hr. The helper must have a drivers license and be willing to walk my two small dogs.
