Hi Everyone, You might have remembered receiving notification that a GoFundMe account was set up to help with the costs to repair broken leg on adorable rat terrier named Jackson. Well the owner went ahead and thankfully had the surgery done this past week as it had reached a danger point that a bone could have penetrated his skin or cut an artery not to mention the pain he was in. I believe only $600+ dollars was raised to help on the Go Fund Me Page. The owner, Alexis Carter opened a Care Credit account to pay for the surgery which amounted to in excess of $2300. The surgery was performed at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital on Camp Horne Road where an orthopedic vet did the complicated surgery. The $2300 does not even include the emergency room charges at Northview VCA. You will all be happy to know that Jackson is coming home today....all 5lbs of him. Go Fund Me takes a hefty percentage from any donated monies so I personally sent a check to: Jay Schmidt Customer Service Manager PVSEC 807 Camp Horne Road Pittsburgh PA 15237 January 9, 2016 I marked the check to be used for Alexis Carter Care Credit Fund. Car egged on Highland

Hi neighbors I want to give everyone a heads-up that sometime last night (Friday night) a neighbors parked car on Highland Ave was egged. This happened on the sidewalk side of the car, so not likely a drive by from a passing car. Also, a wrought iron shepherds-hook style plant hanger was pulled out of our garden, and left discarded in our yard. However, neither it, nor the lantern that was hung on it, were broken or stolen... It also appears that more hardboiled eggs were broken in the garden. No damage was done in either case, and it was probably just kids out looking for mischief, but I did wonder if anyone else in the neighborhood noticed anything amiss around their yards? This happened on Highland Ave between Jackson & Stanton. Thanks and have a great day! Tazio Hilbert
