Ice cream in Highland Park!

Hi neighbors, A new owner has opened the tastee freeze/ice cream stand — Allegheny Ice Cream, at the bottom of the hill by the zoo entrance on Butler Street. We finally have an easy place to get ice cream in Highland Park again. They’re open ’til 9 on weekdays and 10 on weekends. Enjoy! -jean

Greetings and wishing you a wonder filled September! As a celebration of the onset of fall and to 'reap the benefits of the season' , September yoga classes will be offered at $5 a session for the classes that are held in the park! Please join us for Foundational Yoga, (open to all and designed with the maturing body in mind), Tuesday mornings at 8 a.m.in Highland Park on the flower rimmed asphalt half circle to the left of the fountain. (we have moved with the sun to our original spring location!) Please bring a mat, water, and wear comfortable clothes. If the temperature is below 55 degrees or in the event of rain, look for an email by 7 a.m. for location. If we move indoors to a rented space, the cost of the class will resume to the $15 per session, 4 sessions for $48, 8 sessions for $88. Happy Labor Day Highland Park! There are a lot of construction materials left over from an extensive building project we had from a year or so back. Its on the street at the corner of hampton and heberton right by the painted map on of the US on the ground. Please feel free to pick through it before it is hauled away tomorrow.
