Great Theater Production!

The Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theater (PICT) is presenting the delightful, Educating Rita, through September 19th. It is a wonderful play and an inspiring performance! I was hesitant to see the play because, in the movie, there is a lot of sex (yes, I am prudish that way). PICT has done productions which include sensual scenes in the past and they are able to present the height of sexuality without being lewd. Educating Rita, while it has some foul language (all necessary and quite funny) is appropriate for more mature teenaged children. The theme challenged our notions of the importance and goals of classical education; it is well worth seeing and will generate good discussions with family and friends. PICT is having financial struggles, like many cultural organizations in our city. Please consider treating yourself to exceptional theater as well as showing your support for this important cultural organization in our Pittsburgh community!
