Hello Neighbors! We are excited to announce you that *Kizomba Feeling Pittsburgh* will be at the Cloakroom for a second time this Saturday, January 31st. We will be holding this event on a monthly basis! In the meantime stop by the new cafe for some free coffee during business hours M-F in our makeshift foyer cafe. We are so very grateful for the support that the community has shown us. We literally could not have come this far without it. Thank you! Below is a little update as to what we've been working on this weekend. Our cafe manager Savannah has redesigned and has HAND DRAWN this amazing new chalk board menu! She has also taken it upon herself to expand our drink options! What a gal! Our production manager Chad has put the final touches on our burlap coffee bag wall. He's also sanded and sprayed our bar stools. This cafe bar is ready for your bum! Our owner Chris wanted to ensure that some of the flavor from our 6012 space was carried over to our new location, so he pulled some of the crown molding and retro fit it to our local art gallery wall. Join Pittsburgh Arts in France this summer for an exciting artist opportunity abroad! PF/PCA is partnering with Saint Francis University to offer retreats and artist residencies for adults in a centuries-old monastery in Ambialet, France. *Retreats The retreats offer individuals a semi-structured schedule, with the opportunity to visually and culturally explore a region rich in history, architecture and landscape. Participants travel together to local towns and villages, mountainous landscapes, rivers and valleys on scheduled fieldtrips but also have the opportunity to work on their own or in small groups. A typical day will consist of photo shoots, demonstrations or critiques with the group in the morning, individual studio time in the afternoon and socializing in the evening. Afternoon sessions in French language and cooking are also available as a part of the program. Photography with Sue Abramson, Professor of Photography at Pittsburgh Filmmakers July 3 – 12 and July 12 – 19 1 week, $800 for members, $1,000 for non-members 2 weeks, $1,400 for members, $1,600 for non-members Painting/Drawing from Observation with Ron Donoughe, teaching artist at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts July 19 – Sunday, August 2 $1,400 for members, $1,600 for non-members Travel Writing with Sarah Leavans, teaching artist at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts July 19 – Sunday, August 2 $1,400 for members, $1,600 for non-members *Artist Residencies Artist Residencies at Le Prieuré are for one to four weeks to work in the studio, one's room, or on the grounds of the monastery.
