Racial Justice through Human Rights - Recruiting Youth

The American Friends Service Committee PA Office has an ongoing Racial Justice through Human Rights youth group. We are currently recruiting high school youth for the upcoming year (flier attached). The group, made up of a diverse group of Pittsburgh youth, meets every other Sunday afternoon throughout the school year. The group uses a human rights framework and practices respectful listening and dialogue, team building, and consensus decision-making skills. Each year the group identifies an issue important to them and designs and implements a creative response. Service Changes to 75 Ellsworth

>From the Port Authority: Service enhancements on the 75 Ellsworth will take effect on August 31, 2014. Most trips will be extended beyond Bakery Square to Larimer, Morningside, Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, Aspinwall and the Waterworks shopping plaza. Service to the Zoo, Aspinwall and Waterworks will no longer be provided on the 71B Highland Park as this service shifts to the 75. This increases weekday service to the Waterworks as not all current 71B trips serve it. This shift also provides a one-seat ride from Morningside and Larimer to Shadyside, Oakland and SouthSide Works. Additional trips will be added to the 75 schedule and trip times will be adjusted.
