Hi Neighbors! My friend is a dress designer and is starting a line of dresses for toddlers. She is looking for someone to try her samples on their 4T or 5T sized child for fit. She promises a dress of your choice when they are produced. The dresses will be hand wax printed and cut in Tamale, Ghana as part of a project she is doing with women there. In connection with her trip to Ghana, she is asking for donations of summer clothing. They are greatly in need of any sort of lightweight clothes; all sizes for men, women, boys, girls or babies. Hi Neighbors: I serve on the Board of Directors of Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse. Creative Reuse is an innovative and growing organization that promotes resource conservation, creativity, and community engagement through material reuse. We also know how to throw a great party. So...I'd like to invite you to join me at a "pay-what-you-wish" fundraiseron Thursday, August 21, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Wigle Whiskey's new Barrelhouse and Whiskey Garden on Spring Garden Avenue. We'll have a cash bar with Wigle's famous cocktails, small food donated by Bar Marco, Bistro to Go, and the East End Food Coop, plus more hearty fare from several popular food trucks. Lone Pine String Band will provide live music, and since it's Creative Reuse, there will be hands-on creative opportunities for those so inclined. This fundraiser is for everybody, so here is the deal---and the best part---the tickets are "pay-what-you-wish" on EventBrite or at the door. YES, PAY-WHAT-YOU-WISH! If you do pay in advance, we'll send you a deal code so you can use Uber to get to and from the party in style. If you drive, please see some parking guidelines below. For clarification, by "tomorrow," I meant Thursday. I have a sprained ankle (can't even drive) and I have two (not too heavy) futons/couches that need to be moved from Shadyside to Bloomfield tomorrow between noon and 6pm. Are you or do you know someone trustworthy, with a truck, that could deliver them for me? I'll gladly pay for this help.
