2 Tickets for ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball

Looking for an organic farm manager

SanaView Farms at Roaring Run is a 52 acre farm and designated Pittsburgh Historic Landmark located in Champion, PA, just 45 minutes outside Pittsburgh. It is nestled between Ohiopyle, Seven Springs, and Fallingwater. The farm was designed using a permaculture technique. We have production gardens, fruit orchards, blueberries, strawberries, honeybees, a greenhouse full of greens and herbs, a beautiful renovated barn for events and workshops where we will be teaching classes, and nature trails for you to enjoy. We are seeking a full time farm manager potentially year-round. Our current farm manager is leaving for school in September, and we are looking for someone to come on immediately to work here for part of this season, eventually taking over all production. We have a pond for swimming and the entire property is fed with spring water. Our farm is in its first year this year, and we're looking for someone who can learn the property, and continue to grow and expand production into the second year. We have currently contracted with a nearby restaurant for our produce and a local farm market for the season. The ideal person would have an excellent working knowledge of organic gardening from seed to table. Skills in permaculture, biodynamic and substainablity are a plus. The ability to see the larger picture, along with micro manage details and be skilled in communication and management is key. Having a passion for creating vital, life-giving food and environments for healing and renewal is essential. We are intent on finding the perfect person for this role, which is someone with keen intuition, who is responsible, reliable, integrous, and eager. This is a very special farm, our vision for Sana View is to create a successful organic food production community flourishing with healthy food, teaming with energy that uplifts and inspires all who live, work, and visit here.
