Highland Park Neighbors, Homewood is hosting it's very first Homewood Health Matters 5K & Healthy Expo. The event will be held Saturday June 7th <x-apple-data-detectors://0> at Stargell Field (located across from the Homewood Library on Hamilton Ave). Runners will run a 5K loop through the neighborhood, and afterwards are invited to attend the Healthy Eating Expo where there will be healthy food samples, cooking demonstrations, and nutrition education. We are in need of both runners and volunteers to help make the event a success. I am writing this on behalf of a friend. He is a hardworking, single father. He asked friends on FB if we know of anyone in need of odd jobs, etc. done. I immediately thought of the list serve, as I often see requests of all kinds there for someone to help with yard, painting, moving, etc. I am sending out his email address so that if you have a job looming over you and are in need of a 'jack of all trades' kind of guy...you have someone to contact.
