Standard Work Project Manager Job Description: A Project Manager will plan, coordinate, source, implement, and oversee the finalization of projects. All actions will be completed in accordance with the “Scope of Work,” deadlines, and budget. The Project Manager will oversee projects and vendors from the planning stage, through the sourcing and implantation stages, and will be responsible for reporting and client satisfaction. He/she will manage the project team (vendors) and is ultimately responsible for the success or failure of the project. Project Manager Characteristics: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong leadership and multitasking abilities - Detailed reporting and note taking - Strong time management skills - An ability to network effectively with professionals - A proven track record of sales/aggressive sales attitude Project Manager Job Duties: - Accomplishes vendor sourcing by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and holding vendors accountable; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, estimating, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures. - Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing customer projects in a timely and efficient manner; implementing project, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; auditing vendors; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change. - Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. - Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. - Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating sales opportunities; developing field sales action plans. - Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share. - Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging and approach. - Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits or phone calls; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities. Fight to retain a grocery store in Garfield The 5200 Penn Avenue Bottom Dollar, along with 45 other Bottom Dollar stores in PA are slated to close at the end of the year due to the sale of these stores to ALDI, Inc. ALDI, Inc. has not shared its store by store plan to retain grocery stores in each of the Bottom Dollar locations. Many communities could be left with boarded up facilities and no community access to food. We have also heard that equipment and store fixtures are going to be removed. The Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation and partners are organizing a Neighborhood Grocery Store Rally on December 22nd to support keeping a grocery store at 5200 Penn Avenue.
