Hi Neighbors! I work for a housing development company in East Liberty and I am writing to tell you about a wonderful group of residents that have met consistently for over 5 years to knit, crochet, quilt, and bead work here on our property. The group consist of mostly older African American women with a love of crafting. The name of the group is Knit & Crochet Two, a group open to the community, providing instruction and supplies at no cost. The group has brought folks from all over the Pittsburgh area and continues to grow. I am writing to ask if anyone has extra/any craft supplies they would like to donate to this group? They are in need of crafting materials that they can share with the community. [Highland Park] Parking on Farragut near Stanton

I've lived.on Farragut near Stanton for three years and in the last six months i feel like i moved to Oakland.....the parking is so bad that if you aren't home by 6:00 pm you aren't finding a spot....not even the illegal spots. I M growing really tired of coming home late at night from 12-16 hour shifts to have to park blocks away from home. Has anyone else noticed this, or have any suggestions? I hate to complain, I realize we live in the city and its free for all, but thks has exceeded unacceptable in my opinion. Thanks Jackie Merranko

[Highland Park] Very Nice Couch that needs Cushion(s)

Very nice Macy's couch, not very old, but the dog tore up the cushions (which, surprise!, is not covered by the warranty). So now we have a couch which could use a good foam cushion and cover. Could be nice if you are into little projects like that, would probably not cost much, and then you'd have an $800-like couch for about $50 plus a trip to Joann Fabrics. I'm not doing that because I simply don't have time for it. Asking $50 OR BEST OFFER (even if said offer is you helping me carry it to your car and giving me a couple beers, or a sandwich).
