[Highland Park] Wanted: Any working Verizon cellphone

Hi All: My verizon smartphone met an untimely end this past week when it had unwarranted relations with a pool of water. Despite everyone's best efforts, the phone did not survive. Fortunately, I have a qualified upgrade coming on August 11th, but for the next month, I am wondering if anyone has an old verizon phone and charger at the bottom of their drawer that they might be able to loan? Something that allowed data usage would be great, but all I really need is a simple phone for emergencies and to stay in contact with family. [Highland Park] Looking for Fetal Doppler!

Hi neighbors, I know it is often baby central around here so I thought I might give it a try... I am wondering if anyone has a fetal Doppler that I could borrow/rent/buy from them. I hesitate to buy a new one online because most of them have pretty terrible reviews. (it's a long, nerve-racking time between appointments, so I still would love to try it!) [Highland Park] Bird feeding pole system w feeders - $100

I am selling my bird feeder pole system with the squirrel baffle and feeders shown here. I've had the pole setup for about 7 or 8 years. It's seen a lot of use, but for someone who is interested in getting started in bird feeding and bird watching, this is a great setup with everything you need except the seed. The base can be screwed into a wood deck, or not used at all - with the post directly in the ground. Feeders include: ~ traditional tube feeder (WBU "quick clean") for seed with a removable platform - favorite of cardinals, blue jays, chickadees ~ thistle seed feeder - favorite of finches ~ nut feeder - favorite of woodpeckers and nuthatches ~ decorative copper feeder for an orange half - favorite of orioles ~ small hanging platform feeder - multi use ~ small plastic cup feeder - multi use Everything is fully functional. I am asking $100 for the complete setup.

[Highland Park] lost kitten update

Hi neighbors, This is a follow-up from the previous email about the lost tabby kitten. I too have been seeing her around St. Andrew's and couldn't catch her. For the owner: she's been spending a lot time under the dumpster outside the church. She looks too young to be eating solid food, so I've been leaving her milk every morning and night, which she's been be consuming avidly. She stops her meowing after she's eaten. So I think her incessant meowing was for food. Now, at least, she's not starving. I hope this helps the little kitten find her way home. Christine
