[Highland Park] Composting Regulations?

Hello, I attended the PRC's composting class last weekend (details here: http://zerowastepgh.org/ZW-PRC-byvc.html) and they mentioned that the city might have requirements for backyard composting. I've searched the city's website, and all it does is redirect to the PRC website for questions. http://www.pittsburghpa.gov/green/reducereuserecycle.htm Does anyone know if there are requirements? I got the Earth Machine Compost bin for attending the class, but someone there thought the city might require chicken wire to be placed under the bin? We are in need of fish bowls and medium or large glass containers. Garfield Community Farms and Union Project are running a two week long day camp for kids this summer! There will be many interactive lesson plans one of which is a "build your own terrarium" workshop with the kids. We are in need of 17 fish bowls or glass containers for this project so that the kids can each build their own terrarium. [Highland Park] Window Air Conditioner 10,000 BTU

I'm selling a Frigidaire 10,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner with a remote that I purchased last year and was only used for a few months. I moved to a new apartment with central AC in the fall so I don't need it anymore. It also includes a 2 year service care plan (one year remaining). It says it cools rooms up to 500 sq ft. but it easily cooled my larger living room and kitchen even with high ceilings. [Highland Park] Scraps of flat stone or pavers?

Dear Neighbors, We're looking for scraps of flat stone and/or pavers that you may have been meaning to throw out! We've just put in raised garden beds, but since our yard is uneven, need some stone to fill in between the ground and bottom of the beds. [Highland Park] Desk for sale

Neighbors, We're moving, but aren't taking this desk with us. It's up for grabs - $50 OBO. Computer not included... It's in decent shape - the left bottom drawers are actually a file drawer, and it has pull out work stations on both sides. Two glitches - one drawer is missing a handle (can still open, but not as easily - can easily be replaced) and the two drawers on the top left don't open (we're not sure why - someone smarter than I may be able to figure that one out). [Highland Park] For Sale: King Bed Mattress set & basic metal frame, $15

Hi! We are having a new bed delivered to us on Tuesday, June 4th, and if our old bed is still there, they will haul it away for disposal. In the meantime, if I can sell it for the hauling fee, then I will be glad to do so! It is harder than I like (although I love super-soft beds, so this may not be an issue for you), and no longer perfectly flat. It could make a decent guest room bed (which is what it has been for us since 2009), or a super-cheap way for a young couple to get themselves a first big bed. It's all-or-nothing, for $15: --metal frame, to which a headboard could be attached --2 box springs (purchased in 1998) --One-side-pillow-top king size mattress (purchased 2005) Optional: I will throw in the king sheet sets we have, if you want them. Otherwise, they are going to Goodwill. (Our new bed is a California King, so the old sheets won't work at all on it.) I'd like to hang onto the old one until the first couple of days of June; I'd be fine with a weekend pick-up just prior to the 4th. [Highland Park] Free stuff on porch

Neighbors: I have some free stuff on my porch that must go today: stack of Bon Appetit and other magazines; pillar candle with glass holder; two small vases; 2 loaf pans; a few books; a brand new boys white oxford shirt, size 10; small baggie of pin backs for crafts; one king size (green/beige) and one queen size (red) comforter/duvet covers; heavy cast iron reversible griddle/grill pan; etc. I also may put a few other items out shortly. 5541 Beverly Place, off N.
