Thank you listserve for all of the glass block installers recommendations! Here is the following recommendations that I received… 1. Monroeville glass block on sandy creek does mine. Nice job reasonable price 2. We have used these guys a couple of times. Always a good experience http://alleghenyglassblock.com 3. Rich Roth, very good. (412) 519-3251 4. Phil Camillo of Alcoma Glass Block (412) 795-6904. Highly rated on Angie's List and did a quick reasonably priced job... really nice work... very easy to work with. 5. I used Dun-Rite Windows at 1-412-781-8200 to install glass block in the basement windows at my property in Highland Park. The job was fast, very reasonably priced, and looks great! You will deal with Dino Trasatti at Dun-Rite, and I’m confident you will be pleased. 6. In both of my homes I have lived in, I have used and love Monroeville Glass Block. They did great work for me! 7. Pittsburgh Glass Block did great job for our basement window. 8. When I was looking for this for my house, my friend who works in the construction industry, told me that home depot would be my best option for purchase and installation. I haven't done it yet, so I can't say whether or not it worked out, but that's where I am going to go when I finally get around to this project. 9. I used Monroeville Glass Block. They came when scheduled to measure my windows and installed them in abou 4 hours a few weeks later. The price seemed reasonable and the work quality was good. 10. Clementine is still out there! We are very sad to report that we haven't had any calls or sightings of our own in over 24 hours. Hopefully this means she's found a great, safe space in the park but it can also mean she has ventured out of Highland Park. Many people have written with encouragement and offers of help. In addition to keeping an eye out, we have thought of a way people can pitch in with the search efforts. Today, we're going to focus on getting flyers out in the residential parts of Highland Park and its neighboring areas. If you're interested in distributing flyers to your neighbors' doorways, or even going out into a different neighborhood with flyers, send me an email. We'd be very grateful! And thank you so much for your support!! - Katie and Kelly Below is my original posting from 11/23: My partner and I adopted an extremely shy and skittish black lab and basset hound mix today only to have her wiggle out of her full harness and leash as we stepped out of the car to bring her into her new home. She darted down the alley at the end of Mellon by the high rise at around 6:30pm Saturday. Her name is Clementine. She is an absolute sweetheart and we were really looking forward to giving her a home and helping her gain trust in people again :( She has no idea where she is and we suspect she's hiding out under a bush or in a yard somewhere nearby. It's unlikely that she will come to someone trying to offer help. Please do not call out to her or chase her if you see her!
