*Several people asked that I share the recommendations that I received for a dermatologist. Here they are ! Thanks everyone who shared their info with us!* * * I like Melanie Costa in Bloomfield. I don't love her associates though ( Three people recommended her) .Mary P. Sheehan, MD ( two people recommended this practice) University of Pittsburgh Physicians**** Dept. of Dermatology**** 580 S. Aiken Avenue Ste. 201**** Pittsburgh, PA**** 412.681.1072 Laura Ferris is the best Dr. Lally--Old Freeport Rd, I think. She's in Fox Chapel/Aspinwall.( two people recommended her, one said it is a long wait to get an apt. there) UPMC has a large practice in Shadyside. I was very pleased with them * * 4:08 AM (14 hours ago) to me ** louis Martone at St. Margaret's hospital-- 412-782-2302 * * 6:54 AM (12 hours ago) to me I recommend Dr. Rebecca Casserio in Aspinwall. http://www.foxchapelderm.com/ She is very knowledgeable and incredibly thorough and answers questions well. However, her practice is booming. You will wait a long time for an initial appointment (although she will squeeze exising patients in for emergencies), and you will often wait in the waiting room as well. I recommend trying to get one of the first appointments of the day.

[Highland Park] Incident on N. Negley

I was wondering if anyone knew what happened early this morning on N. Negley. Around 6:05, I heard a loud noise which sounded like a car accident somewhere near by. When I left for work I was driving down Negley towards Shady Side and the road had been blocked off between Hays St and Black St. There were quite a few police cars and it looked like possibly the swat team. I haven't seen anything on any of the news channel websites yet today, so I've become quite curious.

[Highland Park] Still Moving: Free Christmas Tree and Cheap SLR (not DSLR)

Free: We've got a Christmas Tree with lights we've used the last couple years that we're not taking with us. Two strands out of the five don't light; we've always just restrung working ones. Also, an "analog" SLR Minolta X-700 camera body with a 135mm lens, a 80-200 lens, lens doubler, some macro filters, and a large bounce flash with cable for better studio fill shots. Lenses and peripheials are all in great shape. Body needs work; if memory serves the curtain is the problem. $35 OBO Thanks! Highland Park trails workday Time: Saturday, May 12, 2012 - 9:00AM - 1:00PM Location: Lake Grove trailhead (across from swimming pool on Lake Dr) Please join us this Saturday to help continue the tremendous trail building momentum in Highland Park. We will be meeting at the Lake Grove trailhead (across from the swimming pool on Lake Drive). There will be a variety of trail building tasks to work on such as rock-hauling and armoring, bench-cutting, transplanting tree saplings, pruning bushes and moving logs/branches. Please bring boots, gloves and pruning tools if you have them. See you Saturday!
