Hey, Neighbors! I'm on the board of a local organization (Jeremiah's Place) seeking to open a relief nursery to help children in crisis. www.jeremiahsplace.com We are holding an "Art of Love" Market fundraiser at the Pittsburgh Public Market on Thursday, December 13th, 5:30 - 9:00 pm. The event features works donated by local artists, from mounted photos to oil pantings, mosaics to drawings. The evening is dedicated to the idea of gentle love (rather than the depictions we see on TV, in ads, etc.). Each of these works shows the artist's interpretation of this theme. All art will be available through silent auction (or with a "Buy It Now" price!). Retail value of items range from $20 to $400, so there's something for everyone! We also have many raffle items available (tickets are $1 each), including a wine & cheese basket ($250 value), a custom-made baby blanket (you tell her what to make, she makes it!), a Sabika necklace ($75 value), a Pet-Friendly Basket ($150 value) and many more items. [Highland Park] Christmas tree (fake) for sale - and Dell Axim parts for free

a) We offer a 3-section prelit tree, 7.5 feet high, about 5 feet across when opened. The top is a simple little tree; on the bigger sections, the branches are attached and simply drop down. The tree base has a motor which can rotate the tree in either direction, nor not at all - makes loading ornaments evenly way simpler than just guessing. The tree is a very full one, lots of little branches. The packing box is long gone. Only reason to sell it is that we literally have no room for it with the additional furniture that "came with my mother to stay." The tree was a $250 tree that I got on sale for $175 (it had no box, still doesn't) - I'd like $50 or best offer by Friday. b) Some time ago somebody on the listserv donated/sold a Dell Axim PDA. I also have an Axim to give away, and have spare (new) batteries, cradle, folding keyboard, car power-outlet plug . to go with. Hi All: We have four (4) pieces of plate glass that came from an old interior glass door. I replaced them with plexiglass for safety of our child sine they are NOT safety glass / tempured . The pieces measure roughly 21.5" x 13" x 0.093" and could be of use for artistic projects, etc. Please email if interested, and I will provide address on a "first email - first served" basis.
