Today our president gave his most sincere speech yet when the news of 20 innocent lives had been taken away from them. As an aspiring photographer it is my duty to tell a story within my photographs, and it is my duty to captivate a particular moment in time. As a mother my heart was broken and I cannot possibly imagine the heartache these parents, grandparents and siblings of the lost children are going through right now. I would like to begin a personal project DEDICATED to the lost lives of CT by photographing 20 children between the ages of 5-10. There is not yet an EXACT DATE & TIME, as I will need to first confirm willing participants. We will go from there and I would like to shoot this project the first or second weekend of January. I will be shooting simple B&W portraits and placing them into a slide show presentation attached with an artist statement including parts of Obama's speech. I need all the help that I can get, so ask people that you know! For the people who accept my offer I will give a print of their child and a copy of the slide show. Remember this is not for school, but simply reaching out to those lives lost on December 14, 2012 ♥ I will make a contract for the parents approval.
