My home has just sold in Shadyside and I am downsizing and in need of a one bedroom apartment in the Point Breeze, Squirrel Hill, Highland Park area in the $650-$750 range with a washer and dryer, utitilities included. I am a responsible graduate student with an obedience school-trained 8 year old labrador retriever so would need pet friendly apt. as well. Move in, mid July. The furniture I am selling is a beautiful cherry stained six chair dining room set with china hutch and buffet for $575 OBO and a cherry wood large coffeet able with end table for $150 OBO. Last I am selling Lenon crsytal stemware as well, 16 pieces (8 water and 8 wine). You haul furniture.

[Highland Park] cork flooring questions

We are considering installing cork flooring when we remodel our kitchen. If you have experience with cork flooring, we would love to hear about it. What are the pros and/or cons of the different types of installation (floating or adhesive)? How durable is it? How easy to maintain is it? Is there a local company you would/wouldn't recommend for supplies and/or installation? Other thoughts?? Thanks so much! Stephanie

[Highland Park] odd items needed: electric inverter and plastic dryer vent hose

Needed for my greenhouse project 1. Does anyone have one of those floppy dryer hoses? It's about 4" in diameter and has a sort of spiral wire frame covered with plastic (don't want the foil covered type)... 2. electric inverter to change DC to AC for a small scale 15 amp solar panel that will be used to charge a 12 v battery... will use for 1-2 lighbulbs, a couple fans and a small radio at most Mary Beth Steisslinger marybeth.steisslinger(a)gmail.com
