Dear resident, The Office of City Councilman Patrick Dowd is challenging you to submit to us your favorite, most interesting photographs of life in Council District 7. This area includes Highland Park, Lawrenceville, Morningside, Polish Hill, Stanton Heights, and sections of Bloomfield, Garfield, North Oakland and the Upper Hill. We are seeking photos in color or black and white that: * Depict a broad representation of District 7 and your neighborhood * Are tasteful and attractive * Have no up-close, recognizable faces * Showcase the vibrant seasons that Pittsburgh experiences * Highlight things that you are proud of in your neighborhood Initially, ten "winning" photos will be placed, with photographer acknowledgement, on the District 7 website. Additional photos will be archived in a Facebook photo album for future use. [Highland Park] Seeking home for loving cat

Meet Boo, a 7 year old short-hair tabby. We adopted him with his brother and sister when they were abandoned at 4 wks old. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years he has developed aggression issues with his siblings. We’ve tried everything to bring peace to the household, but with no success. Though it breaks our hearts, we think the best thing for him would be to live in a single-kitty household. Boo is an indoor cat (never been outside) and very healthy. He’s been neutered, font-declawed, and micro-chipped. He’s very affectionate, though a little skittish with new people, and good with kids and dogs (we have a toddler and a dachshund). We are reaching out to see if any of our neighbors would have a place for him. If you were thinking about a cat, he would be a great addition to your family. Please let me know if you’d be interested in adopting Boo. We want to make sure he goes to a good home. Thanks, Kate

[Highland Park] Babysitter and/or nanny needed

We are looking for an occasional babysitter for evenings for a 5 year old and a 3 month old. We also might be in the market for a part-time nanny starting in the next couple of months and extending at least through next fall.
