[Highland Park] Saving the USPS

I know this is a very small thing but I get a lot of mail and it mostly comes with rubber bands. I asked my Postman if he could reuse them and would like me to but them out for him to reuse when I saved bunch. He said definitely that he would reuse them until they where worn out. So I'm asking for all of us to save the rubber bands, if you get them, and leave them out for your Postman when you accumulate a bunch. I try to be as green as I can and reusing even such small things as rubber bands is much better than just tossing them in the trash and imagine if everyone did this how much money the USPS would save over the long haul. I just discovered that the 18-24 mo giraffe costume that I had been planning for my son to wear for Halloween this year is hopelessly small for him. I have seen several people post in recent weeks about halloween costumes for sale. If anybody has one left that would be suitable for a large 21-month old boy (2T-3T), I'd love to buy it from you or trade you an 18-24 mo giraffe costume for it! Thanks- Shannon Hula

Dear Neighbors, We bought too many boxes of this excellent quality 6x36 inch plank flooring for our third floor kitchen. Only 3 planks were used from this new box so the remainder will cover approximately 20 sq. feet. This stuff looks great and is easy to install over existing flooring, no glue required. *Thanks to everyone that responded! We went with Leet - Garage Door Doctor 412-670-0609* *Here are most of the recommendations that I received. * * * * * *The Garage Door Doctor is very good. We have used them for installations as well as repairs. Their number is 412-670-0609 and his name is Leet.* * * *Have had great prices workmanship and many thanks from people that I referred Russ to - Russ Stoner 412 913 1292* * * *We used Precision Garage Doors. Ours had broken and we needed it replaced fast, etc. Ease, no problems--same technician installed, had to come and adjust it a couple of times after installation, which he did without resistance. It was a few years ago and I am no where near our records--$1200 is what I recall. * * * *Clopay garage doors are excellent. I just had two of them installed as part of a garage building installation. Check out their website for the model you're interested in and then call at least 6 local garage door installers and give them all the model you've decided on and see who gives you the best price. Also, be sure they have business liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and a PA contractors number. And don't forget to ask them how long they will warrant their installation. I hope this is helpful.* * * *We recently had our one car garage door replaced by David P. Giel garage doors in Allison Park. His crew did a great job and we were very happy with their work.
