*HELP MAKE HIGHLAND PARK MORE BEAUTIFUL!* *WHAT: Volunteer to plant trees in our neighborhood. The trees are free, but we need to plant them.* * * *WHEN: Saturday November 5, 2011 at 8:45 am. Rain or shine or snow!* * * *WHERE: Meet at the corner of Heberton and Bryant streets. We will plant 40 trees on Heberton and Winterton and nearby streets* * * *WHO: There is something for everyone to do! Children ages 8 and older are encouraged to help along with their parents or a responsible adult. Dear Neighbors, We are remodeling our kitchen and selling a great dual fuel convection stove to make room for a larger one. I cook a lot and this has been a wonderful stove. It's got a 3 piece grate, power boost burner that boils water quickly, and a warming drawer. Great timer, and convection bake and roast settings. It's also self-cleaning. I can't remember the exact age, but I think it's no more than 5 years. $500 or best offer, you haul from my porch. This type of stove is listed at $1200 on Craigs list. Beverly Road is being paved and garbage was also collected Monday. My can is missing and someone else's can is still out on the sidewalk.Mine is brown with a black lid. What's on the street is green with a tan lid.Can you please check and return my garbage can? The one thats yours won't fit under my porch. Thanks!

You all are amazing! I had an overwhelming amount of responses! I could barley keep up with all of the emails I received for the youth I work with who needed the bike to get to and from work. Now that he has better transportation he's looking into even more employment opportunities in the area! Thanks to all of you who responded with tips, bike possibilities, repair shops, programs,offering to fix it yourself and so forth! A special thank you to David and Karen of Morningside who donated a bike to my youth and he biked away happily! You neighbors are great! Thank you again and happy fall! Megan

[Highland Park] Lost cashmere sweater

Today while walking my dogs I dropped a sweater that had been tied around my waist. We were probably somewhere on Stanton near the tennis courts, heading towards Dilworth school past the gardens. I noticed it pretty quickly and retraced my steps, but someone must have picked it up to spare it from the rain.
