[Highland Park] Water Pressure

Hi, Another question. We recently had a plumber do some work for us and while here I asked about water pressure. He hooked up his gauge and it read 90 psi. We were told this is high and can, in time, cause problems with items such as dish washers. High pressure also can cause banging in the hot water heating pipes. I was told that the city requires a minimum of 40 psi and that 60 psi is a good number to shoot for. So, has anyone installed a pressure reducing valve? They are not expensive and might be a smart move. Rich and Bonnee Bunkerhill

Ron Reiss Company at 811 Lorenz Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15220, specializes in upholstery but he was first a furniture refinisher and has done some beautiful work for myself and my clients. He knows all the best and old techniques and will respect your furniture. He is excellent, a former French national who worked in the chateau of Versailles among other places.
