Hi all, Based on your responses, this day and time seemed pretty good for people. Here is more detailed information: What: Ultimate Frisbee in the park! All skill levels are welcome, and all ages (above around 12 or so) also welcome. If you've never played before, it's a really easy game to learn and great exercise! When: Monday nights at 6:30pm until dark or so. Where: On the baseball outfield behind the field house. What to Bring: one light and one dark T-shirt, water, cleats if you have them, 175g frisbee if you have one. Several Highland Park students from the City's Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) High School are exhibiting work at the Eastside Gallery, at the Village of Eastside, 6401 Penn Avenue. Recent student print work, sculpture, hand-printed T-shirts & patches are on display. Gallery hours are this Saturday, May 23rd, from 12 - 4 PM. There will be a closing reception Friday, May 29th from 6 - 9 PM. [Highland Park] swarm of bees

Hello, I came out of my house on Callowhill St. at about 9:30am to find the biggest swarm of bees I'd ever seen in a tree across the street. I had to take my son to school and by the time I had gotten back it had moved on. In the meantime I'd called the police, forestry division, and my city council man (whose staff was helpful, thank you Heather) and no one seemed to know what to do about it. They may be someplace else in the neighborhood, so keep a look out (not that you'd be able to miss it). Does anyone know how to handle this situation if it occurs again? Thanks, MEg

Quite a few people emailed me asking if they could get the list of brick pointers sent to me so I thought I'd pass it along. Hope this helps. This man got two recommendations. tony kowelecki 412-527-5327 He does a lot of work in the neighborhood. Many yrs experience-family business We have had Sabol Masonry work on our house for three different jobs. The service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. You can reach them at 724-274-4888. I would use them again in a minute. I am a real estate agent, and while representing a house on my street, my neighbor had some pointing done. I thought the man did a great job. So, I hired him for my own home and he was fantastic!!! Then I recommended him to my seller on Bryant, and he used him and really thought he did a super job. He is fair in his pricing, and works really hard. His name is Bill Bernard, (he does introuce himself as "Mr. Bernard", so I never used a familiar "Bill" with him. His number is 412-427-9778. You won't be disappointed...you'll be pointed!!! (OMG I couldn't resist that one, sorry). I have used Dan Noszka 412.519.0741 cell. I recommend him highly. We had a friend clean and point our house. He's works big commercial jobs during the week, but does smaller side jobs on the weekends. If you or someone you know is looking for a great deal on some beautiful, high quality, well loved (used) furniture for a girl's or boy's nursery, please check out my ad now listed on Craigslist (photos included in the link below). She's four years old now and ready for a big girl bed! Unfortunately her room is not big enough for us to use the crib to its full capacity where it converts into a full size (not twin) bed. The crib is shown here as a toddler bed with one side taken off. When it converts to a full size bed you use one side for the head board and the other side as the foot board. The changing center is also in perfect condition. It has 2 convenient cabinets (one with drawers inside) for linens, extra diapers and wipes and anything else you'll need close by. Drawers down the center are perfect for baby's clothes. This furniture is extremely durable as it is made from maple wood in a terra cotta color. Purchased new at Babyland for $1345 four years ago (crib was $600 and changing center was $745). Crib mattress can be included if you like. It too was purchased at Babyland for $99. Asking $700 for everything or best offer. Would prefer to sell as a set, but would be willing to split up for the right price. Everything comes from a pet free/smoke free house. Thanks for looking!

My family is selling tickets to raise money for the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh in neighboring Friendship. There are some pretty cool prizes, so check out the attached list. Tickets are $10 each, or 5 for $40. If you're interested in purchasing, send me an email letting me know where and when it would be convenient for us to deliver your ticket and pick up a check, keeping in mind that tickets and checks have to be turned in to the school by Wednesday, the 27th.
