The Open Door is hosting it's Third annual Interpretations and Meditations of the Stations of the Cross in the Great Hall of the Union Project, 801 N. Negley Ave. Come by any time during Urban Fusion Cafe Hours (7-9, M-S) and see local emerging artists' interpretations and meditations on the traditional Stations of the Cross. Holy Week Services at St. Andrew's, 2007 Holy Thursday, April 5 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday Holy Communion "Around the Dinner Table" in the Parish Hall 6:45 p.m. Potluck Supper (Bring an item to share) 8 p.m. Choral Evensong for Holy Week Good Friday, April 6: The Great Three Hours 12 Noon Stations of the Cross 1 p.m. Prayer Book Good Friday Service 2 p.m. Choral Service, from J.S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion 3 p.m. Tolling of the Great Bell Families in the congregation and neighborhood are reminded that preparations for the Easter Sunday morning Easter Egg Hunt will take place Saturday morning, April 7, 10:30 a.m. Bring a dozen HARD BOILED eggs to color for the Egg Hunt at Church, and another dozen to color and take home for family Easter morning fun . . . . Festive Easter Sunday Morning celebrations at 9 a.m. (in the Chapel) and 11 a.m. (with Procession, Choir, and Brass). Nursery Care for infants and younger children at both services. Champagne reception follows both services. Easter Egg Hunt following the 11 a.m. service. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is located at the corner of 5801 Hampton Street and North Euclid Avenue, in the Highland Park neighborhood. All welcome!

WOW! Thank you to all who helped make this weekend's Spring Party and Egg Hunt a huge success! The Party was attended by more than 220 children (and their accompanying adults) and all seemed to have a great time playing games, making spring crafts, eating some great snacks (thanks to all the folks who donated these!), and wandering through the crowds chatting with friends old and new! What a great day to be a Highlandpark-er! :) I look forward to seeing everyone again soon! (Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Community Festival on Bryant Street on May 5.) Patrick Dowd will be at Tazza D'Oro on Sunday, April 1st from 4 pm to 6 pm. This is your chance to hear one of the candidates for City Council speak about his visions for our community and District 7. Amy has also asked Patrick to address his ideas to revamp the City's strategy for energy conservation and "greening" our communities. We hope for a great turn out by potential voters because we all know that our local government representatives have the greatest impact on our lives and our quality of life in our communities.
