The Open Door has a few events coming up this week! Community Scripture Investigation (CSI), starting this Wednesday December 7th at 7pm at the Union Project 801 N. Negley Ave As we enter into the holiday season the Open Door (a missional church community at the Union Project) will be starting a scripture investigation of the life of Jesus by looking at the Gospel of Luke. It will start this Wednesday night December 7th at 7pm at the Union Project 801 N. Negley Ave. Any and all are welcome. Check out our website for more details, www.pghopendoor.org. This Side of Eve Christmas Concert, Saturday, December 10th at 7:30pm at the Union Project 801 N. Negley Ave This Side of Eve is a local Pittsburgh Band that is lead by John and Alyssa Creasy who are part of the Open Door community. They will play through their new album, Can't Make Out the Stars, as well as some traditional Christmas songs. Tickets are available from John Creasy (john(a)pghopendoor.org) one of the pastors at the Open Door ahead of time for $8, and are $10 at the door, which includes free food and beverages (wine, beer and pop). Jackie Hrivnak (724.335.7243) visits our house twice a month and does some fantastic housekeeping work for us. She's been with us for several years and her productivity has increased! She recently lost a couple of clients and has a few holes in her schedule. If you're looking for someone to come in a few hours twice a month and do the chores that you dislike -- kitchen floors, bathrooms, etc. -- then give Jackie a call.
