A friend of mine was visiting last evening around 8:30pm. My dog started to bark, I usually ignore him because he's partially deaf and will bark at anything, but this was an unusual bark. When I went to the front door and turned on the front porch light, we noticed someone in my driveway approaching her car. He/she ran in the direction of Heberton. [Highland Park] Another vandalism incident on Jackson

Last night (Wednesday) just before the World Series pregame (8:00 PM) someone broke the rear glass of my car, which was parked in front of my house. (The dog heard it, but I ignored him.) I reported it to the police. This is in the 6400 block of Jackson, just a brick's throw throw from the window incident reported a few days ago by Mr. Martin. Hej all, Friends of mine are filming a commercial in the Highland Park area this Sunday. They were hoping to fill their available spots with folks from the neighborhood. They need to have selections done in the next day or so ... I know, I know, not much turnaround time. If you're interested, read on to see if you fit the type. They need people to play non-speaking roles and they'll need some extras. This is what or rather WHO they need ... you DO NOT have to be an actor, but I will need to send them your picture ASAP: A 30-something male and female. A 50-something male and female.. A "senior" male and female. Two or three kids (8-12yrs old) riding mountain bikes (must have their own bikes). On Hallowe'en night, October 31st, at 8 p.m. -- Kids of all ages are invited to come in-costume to St. Andrew's Church (corner of Hampton Street and N. Euclid) for a brief, seasonally-appropriate, and spook-tacular organ recital, then a climb into the old churchtower by flashlight to ring the church bell, then a final distribution of holiday treats and sweets. Hello, I think I saw, sometime over the last year, a reference to a mother/daughter cleaning service. Can anyone give me their information or recommend a reasonable cleaning serivce? Thanks! Also, we recently had a rock thrown at our window. It cracked but didn't break. I will look into filing a report. Unfortunately I am not sure I remember the date it happened anymore. Layla
