Christmas Tree Sale Begins Today! The Union Project Christmas Tree market and sale begins today. The market will be open 7 days a week from 11 am to 9 pm. Come and buy your christmas tree, wreaths, handmade gifts, and ornaments, all to support the Union Project! FREE childrens ornament and artmaking activities will be available on the weekends. SANTA CLAUS will be coming to the Union Project on Sunday, December 19. Volunteers are still needed to help staff the market. Volunteers are specifically needed from Dec 12 thru Dec. 18. I have some old texbooks, science mostly, (some education) that I realized I'm not ever going to use again. While they are fairly out of date (60s and 70s), there may be some references that would still be useful. Greetings Neighbors are you interested in being a part of First Night Pittsburgh? Puppetmaker and Parade Director Cheryl Capezzuti invites Highland Park/East Liberty neighbors to make large-scale creatures for this year's parade on New Year's Eve. Last year twelve families or so participated. We all had a fantastic time making art and getting to know our neighbors. The workshop and the entire parade will be inspired by the theme "Tales of Revelry and Peace." Participants should plan to attend the parade at 8:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve in Downtown Pittsburgh. Space is limited so register EARLY. We're doing streamlining and upgrading and we have a free dresser, free lamp, and free lamp table if anyone needs them. They are old and not that nice, but they are functional if you are just starting out. Let me know if anyone can use them. Sherry Goldman
